Setup and activation

How do I install the eSIM on my mobile?
The usual procedure is as follows:

1. Subscribe to the eSIM plan and you will receive a QR code and activation information by email.
2. On your mobile, open Settings → Mobile data / Cellular → Add a data plan and scan the QR code or manually enter the provided information.
3. Manage your SIM cards as needed: you can keep your usual physical SIM card active or deactivate it and activate the eSIM when you arrive at your destination.

What if my mobile phone is incompatible with eSIM?
Before making your purchase, make sure your device is compatible with eSIM (check device).
If it is not, don't worry: once you arrive in Andorra, you can purchase a physical SIM card at any official point of sale. See our map of points of sale.
Can I install the same eSIM on multiple devices?
No, each eSIM is linked to a single device. If you wish to use the service on a second device, you will need to subscribe to a new plan.
When does my data plan start counting?
Your plan begins when the eSIM first connects to the Andorra Telecom network and starts using data in the country. You can purchase and install it before travelling without it activating until your arrival.
Does it activate automatically when I make the purchase?
No. The plan only starts when the eSIM connects for the first time and begins using data in Andorra.

Management and service

What should I do if I delete or lose the QR code for my eSIM?
If you cannot find the QR code in your email, you can access the Customer Area of esimandorra.ad or the mobile app to view all your product details, including the eSIM QR code, service status, expiry date and current usage.
How can I check how much data I have left?
You can check your data usage in real time by accessing the Customer Area or the mobile app. There you will find all the information about your product: QR code, service status, expiry date and current usage.
Can I make calls or send SMS with my eSIM?
Andorra Telecom eSIMs are exclusive data plans. You can use messaging or internet calling apps (WhatsApp, Telegram, FaceTime, etc.), but you cannot make traditional calls or send traditional SMS.
How long is my eSIM plan valid for?
The validity period begins as soon as your eSIM connects to the Andorra Telecom network for the first time and lasts for the duration specified in the plan you have subscribed to.
Does eSIM Andorra include calls and SMS?
eSIM Andorra is a mobile data plan. It does not include a local number or traditional calls. You can use WhatsApp, FaceTime, Telegram and any internet calling app normally using the included data.
Can I keep my usual WhatsApp number and calls?
Yes, one of the great advantages of eSIM Andorra is that your apps continue to work without any additional configuration. You can continue using your WhatsApp with your usual number. If your phone is dual SIM, you can keep your regular line for calls while using the eSIM for data, avoiding additional browsing costs.

Use and incidents

I don't have any data after installing my eSIM. What should I do?
If you are outside Andorra, it is normal for your eSIM not to have a data connection, as it is configured to work only within Andorran territory.

If you are already in the Principality:

1. Restart your device.
2. Make sure that the Andorra Telecom line is set as "Default data".
3. If the problem persists, contact our personal agent for assistance.
Does my eSIM work outside Andorra?
No. Andorra Telecom eSIMs are optimised to work exclusively within Andorran territory. When abroad, you will need to use your regular SIM card or an international plan.
Do I need to deactivate my regular operator's physical SIM card?
It is not necessary to deactivate it, but we recommend that you do so temporarily if you only want to use your Andorra eSIM for data and avoid roaming charges from your regular operator.

On your phone, you can easily manage this in Settings → Mobile data / Cellular, by selecting:

Andorra Telecom eSIM as the "Default data line".
Deactivate data roaming on your physical SIM card if you are outside your home country.

This will ensure that all data uses your eSIM and that there are no unexpected additional charges.

Please note that Andorra Telecom cannot be held responsible for any roaming or data usage charges applied by your usual operator.
